Over the last year, people from all parts of the globe have collectively helped craft harmony by participating in the brick by brick ceremony at BAPS Hindu Mandir, Abu Dhabi. This initiative continues to be a true testimony of perseverance, harmony, and human fraternity for this historic and iconic project. Weekly, hundreds of well-wishers visit the site to give a literal hand in the transformation by placing a brick on the plinth of the mandir’s construction site with their own hands.
Recently, many prominent figures, including HE Abdul Nasser Alshaali, the designated UAE Ambassador to India; Shri Bhupendra Yadav, Indian Union Cabinet Minister of Labour and Employment; Hon. Priti Patel, MP & Former Home Secretary UK and others have visited the construction site.
Prior to performing the brick-placing ceremony, each visitor views the ‘Rivers of Harmony’ exhibition, which presents a synopsis of the history of the mandir, including the original vision shared by His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, acts of community service relief by BAPS, and significant moments depicting the mandir’s history.
The brick by brick initiative has enabled visitors to see history in the making before their very eyes and immerse themselves in the various ways this mandir will create, promote, and sustain harmony.
